Dance students may wear any clothing that is appropriate for dancing. Below are our recommendations.
For all BALLET classes:
GIRLS: Leotard with pink tights (footless tights are better for the younger dancers who often take off their Ballet shoes during class)
BOYS: T shirt with shorts or sweatpants
Bare feet or Ballet shoes made of leather or canvas. Please tie Ballet shoestrings in a knot and cut off the excess string.
Hair should be secured away from the face with barrettes or other appropriate hair accessories.
For ALL THAT JAZZ & BALLET: Ballet shoes made of leather or canvas (Jazz shoes are optional). Please tie Ballet shoestrings in a knot and cut off the excess string. Same attire as BALLET.
For DANCE & PRANCE: Bare feet and stretchy clothing
For HIP HOP classes and LET'S DANCE: Stretchy clothing and sneakers (ideally, flat-soled sneakers that allow lateral movement like tennis or basketball shoes). No Crocs or flip slops/slides.
For TAP N’ BALLET:
Enter classroom wearing Ballet shoes and carrying Tap shoes in a small bag. PLEASE LABEL all shoes with the student's name. Velcro Tap shoes are easier for the kids to put on by themselves. (Sometimes the instructor may tell the kids to come in wearing Tap shoes for the first part of class.)
Same attire as BALLET (see above).
